I never really thought of it, but... What, if any, positions and/or
overlap does CLUE have with similar/related national efforts such as:

- CANadian OPENsource Education and Research (canopener)
- Getting Open Source Logic INto Government (gosling)
- Digital Copyright Canada (dcc)
- Online Rights Canada (orc)
- Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic (cippic)
- Canadian Software Innovators Association (csia)
- LUGs (no, wait, don't answer that. ;-)
- OUGs (other user groups, like *nix et. al)

I'm happy to hear another organization is moving into the arena - the
list above should in no way be seen as detrimental to the cause.
Quite the opposite, in the interests of efficiency it would be a good
idea (/me thinx) for these groups to communicate.

As far as naming... I like CLUE, and I _really_ like the "Get One"
concept that goes so naturally with it. Then again, moving into the
political arena means compromise - and lots of it.

For my part, it's not the 23'rd so I'm not voting yet. To give you a
hint (sorry, couldn't bring myself to use the pun...) on my viewpoint
- moving into the political arena also means attitude, lots of it.

To be brutally honest, I think FOSS in Canada needs to focus some, to
get motivated about getting organized (even organizations can
organize) and start effecting logical changes in "the system."

Interesting thread.
