Hi Monty,

I've not seen any list out there, but I do know my isp has run apache on
debian for years; and included GNU/Linux goodies in my startup cd.
(mozilla*.tar.gz, rp-pppoe*.rpm, OOo*.tar.gz, etc :)

from netcraft:

If one of you DO get on the board, I would like to see:

1. a campaign
started to lean REAL hard on ver!s!gn. I'm working in the GSM phone
industry and I have seen a *lot* of unsolicited direct billing and have
been informed of possible age inappropriate content to youngster's
phones, coming mainly through mblox and mqube (subsidiaries of the
above).

2. some serious
consequences for those found to be involved in the various forms of
identity theft. Rather than whine about csis or the american nsa
(security enhanced linux on my box is thanx to the nsa!) monitoring the
odd email or 2, to help keep us secure, and able to access critical
services; why not make it our cause (when time permits, of course) to
hunt down those who would phish the bank account info from our old folks
and the feeble. Most of us have traceroute and can make good use of it.
If you don't then get it. Its easy to use. I've done my part reporting
an email scam to tdcanadatrust recently. A few emails to the isps that
host some of these extortionists, informing them they are being closely
watched, will have a positive effect I'm sure.

Enough of my rants! Hope some of this may be of help. I'm going back to
lurk mode.

PS:
I notice kingston oonline services hasn't fixed (what was not broken to
begin with) by staying the course with apache 1.3. the '2.0 server that
comes with my recent mandriva2006 and opensuse10.1 distros is said to be
"cleaner". I think that is code for "trickier to set up and get running
properly" =)

I may have to dig up the 1.3 from my old (?) mandrake 8.1 cds.
