However the section for Software Copyright is misleading. I have
pasted the relevant sentence below. It does not take into account Free
Open Source Software. I routinely give my students Linux Live CD's
like Slax (http://www.slax.org)

In addition, I could not find any information about being allowed to
copy photographs, multimedia or other content from the Internet which
are released under the Creative Commons license.

Can teachers copy computer software for
educational use?
Software is protected under copyright law. It is an infringement
to make copies of any software without permission.
